Fridge or Oven Down in Johns Creek, GA? Same- or Next-Day Repair

Johns Creek stretches across north Fulton from McGinnis Ferry Road down to the Chattahoochee, and a single kitchen there may hold more than one cold appliance: a main refrigerator, a beverage center, a wine cooler, an ice maker in the bar. When one of them, or an oven, fails in a Johns Creek home, office or restaurant, Emergency Fridge Repair sends an experienced technician, with same- or next-day visits. Our core work is refrigerators, freezers, ice makers and wine coolers, and ovens and ranges are part of it too.

Phone (770) 334-4410 and a person answers, 24/7. Or use the form on this page: pick Home or Business, enter your ZIP code, tell us the problem, and a dispatcher will call you back.

Ice Maker Overflowing Into the Freezer? Turn the Water Off

A sheet of ice spreading across the freezer floor, ice frozen to the bin, water running down the front of the fridge: an ice maker that keeps filling can do real damage in a few hours, especially on hardwood floors. Act in this order:

  1. Turn the ice maker off. Use the switch, the arm or the setting on the control panel.
  2. If water keeps coming, close the water supply to the refrigerator. The valve is usually behind the fridge, under the kitchen sink or below the kitchen in the basement.
  3. Take out the bin and the loose ice, and let the ice frozen to the tray and the floor soften before you lift it. Don't pry it with a knife; the tubing behind the freezer walls is easy to puncture.
  4. Dry the floor and put towels along the front of the fridge.

What causes it? The water inlet valve may not be closing all the way, so water dribbles into the tray between fills. Low water pressure can keep some valves from sealing. A fridge that leans forward or to one side can make the ice maker's tray spill over. Or the ice maker itself is calling for water too often. A technician can test the valve, check the pressure and level the fridge. Until then, leave the ice maker off and the water closed; the fridge and freezer keep cooling without it.

Johns Creek Trouble Signals

  • Water on the floor in front of the fridge. An overflowing ice maker, a cracked line or a blocked drain.
  • The freezer is soft, but the fridge is still cold. See the section below.
  • A wine cooler clicks on and off every few minutes. A failing compressor relay or a control problem.
  • The built-in fridge's top grille feels hot and the fan is loud. The condenser is clogged or its fan is failing.
  • An undercounter ice maker hasn't dropped ice in a day. A water supply, drain or ice-making fault.
  • A wall oven stops partway through preheat. An element, a sensor or the control.
  • A gas smell at the range or cooktop. Get out of the house, then call the gas utility or 911.

Restaurants, Offices and Shops on Medlock Bridge and State Bridge

Restaurants and cafés in the shopping centers along Medlock Bridge and State Bridge Roads, and the offices around Technology Parkway, all depend on refrigeration that has to be right when the doors open. A five-minute check at the start of each day catches trouble before the first order.

  • Read every thermometer before you stock. Reach-ins and prep tables should be at 41°F or below, the FDA Food Code limit for cold-held food. Write the numbers down.
  • Look at the ice bin. If the machine made less ice overnight than usual, scale, a dirty condenser or a water problem may be starting.
  • Check the floor. Water under a unit means a drain or a fitting is leaking.
  • Listen. A compressor that never stops, or a new rattle in a fan, is worth noting.
  • Open and close each door. It should seal on its own.

When a reading is high, move the food that's most at risk to a unit that's holding, and choose Business in the form with the brand and the reading.

Freezer Soft, Fridge Still Cold

Ice cream has gone soft and the frozen vegetables bend, but the milk in the fridge is fine. Here's how to read that combination.

On many refrigerators, the freezer and the fridge share one cooling system, so a freezer-only problem usually starts with the freezer itself:

  • The freezer door isn't sealing. An ice bin, a bag or a basket sticking out keeps it open a crack. Look for frost around the gasket.
  • The vents are blocked. Packages pushed against the back wall stop the air from moving.
  • The setting changed. A child or a cleaning session can bump the control.

Many built-in, column and some French-door models have separate cooling for the freezer. On those, a freezer fan, a sensor or the freezer's own sealed system can fail while the fridge keeps working perfectly.

What to do now: move the softest food into the fridge if you'll eat it within a day or two, or into coolers with ice. Food that still has ice crystals or reads 40°F or below can be refrozen, per USDA guidance. Then book a visit and mention the model, because a freezer that's failing alone often needs a specific part.

How a Johns Creek Repair Works

Booking. The dispatcher answers 24/7, notes the appliance, the brand, the problem and your ZIP code, and books a same- or next-day window.

Emergency FAQ

Johns Creek Repair FAQ

My address says Duluth, but the ZIP is 30097. Do you come out?

Yes. All of 30097 and 30022 is covered, whatever the mailing city.

How soon can a technician be in Johns Creek?

Johns Creek visits are booked same- or next-day. An early call gives you the most choice.

My ice maker flooded the freezer. What first?

Turn the ice maker off. If water keeps coming, close the supply valve to the fridge, then clear the ice and dry the floor.

Can I keep using the fridge with the ice maker off?

Yes. The fridge and freezer keep cooling. Leave the ice maker off and the water closed until the repair.

Why is my freezer soft when the fridge is fine?

Check the freezer door seal and the vents first. On models with separate freezer cooling, a fan, a sensor or the freezer system itself may have failed.

Can I refreeze food from a freezer that went soft?

Per the USDA, yes, if it still has ice crystals or reads 40°F or below.

Which parts do your technicians install?

Genuine or OEM-approved parts chosen for the specific unit.

What warranty does a Johns Creek repair carry?

Up to 6 months, labor included, not just the part.
